Zoey Lavallee and Anna-Marie Gagné-Julien co-organized a wonderful POMH-CRÉ conference titled “Philosophical Perspectives on Values and Mental Health,” held on November 6–7, 2025.

A wonderful memory from a study day devoted to the book The Dynamics of Epistemic Injustice: situating epistemic power and agency (OUP, 2025), by Amandine Catala (CRC-IAE, UQAM).
Several members of the CRÉ took part in the event — some of whom appear in the photo: Anna Milioni, Yann Allard-Tremblay, Nick Clanchy, Abe Tobi, Amandine Catala, Léon Gatien, Catherine Lu and Naïma Hamrouni; and others who do not: Ryoa Chung, Natalie Stoljar, Gilles Beauchamp, Kristin Voigt and Anne Iavarone-Turcotte.

CRÉ members gathered on June 21, 2024, to mark the end of the 2023-24 academic year. Have a great summer! And thank you, Ryoa, for the souvenir photo!

On the occasion of Virginie Maris’s research stay (Centre d’écologie fonctionnelle et évolutive, Montpellier) as a visiting researcher at CRÉ 2024-2025, CRÉ and GRÉEA organized a round table at the Librairie Port de tête in Montreal on the theme of researchers’ involvement in social and environmental struggles. Virginie was joined by Christian Nadeau, professor of philosophy at the Université de Montréal, then Anne Desruisseaux, a master’s student in philosophy at the Université de Montréal, to her left, and Francis Dupuis-Déri, professor of political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal, and Veronica Ponce, professor of philosophy at Marianopolis College. Veronica moderated the round table in place of Juliette Roussin, professeure de philosophie à l’Université Laval.

The party for the start of the 2023-2024 academic year took place on October 20th. Unfortunately, some participants are not in the photo, but at least we can see most of the members of the rotating team and other researchers from the CRÉ!

Photo taken by Ryoa Chung, during the workshop Power & Domination held on August 15-17, 2022, organized by Arash Abizadeh and William Clare Roberts around their respective manuscripts. Were participating: Yann-Allard Tremblay; Ryoa Chung; Pablo Gilabert; Alex Gourevitch; Amanda Greene; Sean Ingham; Niko Kolodny; Dominique Leydet; Jacob T. Levy; Éliot Litalien ; Mara Marin; William Paris; Hasana Sharp; Daniel Weinstock(politics, McGill); Vanessa Wills; Yves Winter.
Help for organization: Michelle Atkins.

Martin received us for a surprisingly hot May 5@7. In this photo (from left to right, top first, then bottom), we can see: Allen Habib, Agnes Tam, their friends Edward van Daalen and Felipe Flores, Ido Alon, our host Martin Gibert, then Éliot Litalien, Ryoa Chung and Jules Salomone-Sehr.

Stephanie is ending her stay as a guest researcher at the Center for the fall of 2021. Pandemic obliges, it is outside, even at -20 degrees Celsius, that we said goodbye to her. Arash was also finishing his research stay, a little earlier, with the end of the year. But his departure from the CRÉ to return to the other side of the mountain seems less sad to us! Present were Juliette, Agnes, Kristin, Stephanie, Ryoa, Valéry and Arash.
