Morgane Delorme, research associate of Ethics and Economics axis of the CRÉ, co-authored a video for the YouTube channel Philoxime (created by Maxime Lambrecht, holder of the Hoover Chair at the Université catholique de Louvain), entitled “Central bank independence: what if Trump was right?!”.

The video was posted on YouTube around the same time the U.S. Senate confirmed Kevin Warsh’s nomination to head the Fed, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Kevin Warsh, who will become the 17th chair of the Federal Reserve, will succeed Jerome Powell, whose eight-year tenure was marked by a heated clash with the White House to defend the US central bank’s political independence.
