Great participation in the round table on researchers’ involvement in social and environmental struggles
On the occasion of Virginie Maris’s research stay (Centre d’écologie fonctionnelle et évolutive, Montpellier) as a visiting researcher at CRÉ 2024-2025, CRÉ and GRÉEA organized a round table at the Librairie Port de tête in Montreal on the theme of researchers’ involvement in social and environmental struggles. Virginie was joined by Christian Nadeau, professor of philosophy at the Université de Montréal, then Anne Desruisseaux, a master’s student in philosophy at the Université de Montréal, to her left, and Francis Dupuis-Déri, professor of political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal, and Veronica Ponce, professor of philosophy at Marianopolis College. Veronica moderated the round table in place of Juliette Roussin, professeure de philosophie à l’Université Laval.

Goodbye Stephanie!
Stephanie is ending her stay as a guest researcher at the Center for the fall of 2021. Pandemic obliges, it is outside, even at -20 degrees Celsius, that we said goodbye to her. Arash was also finishing his research stay, a little earlier, with the end of the year. But his departure from the CRÉ to return to the other side of the mountain seems less sad to us! Present were Juliette, Agnes, Kristin, Stephanie, Ryoa, Valéry and Arash.

Thank you Christine!
An evening to underline the exceptional work of Christine Tappolet at the head of the CRÉ, for almost 10 years. Sanitary measures oblige, we were only about ten colleagues and friends gathered in person, but the party took place in hybrid mode, which explains all these looks (Ryoa, Guillaume, Christine, Miriam, Stephanie, Kristin and Agnes) are facing the large zoom screen.
