Concours de stage postdoctoral CREF/CRÉ 2022-23

La Chaire de recherche du Canada en éthique féministe sur les injustices structurelles (CREF) à l’UQTR est heureuse de lancer, en collaboration avec le thème phare Éthique féministe du Centre de recherche en éthique (CRÉ), son premier concours de stage postdoctoral!

Le stage pour l’année académique 2022-2023 (12 mois) est rémunéré par un programme de bourse à hauteur de 43 000.00$/année, avec un renouvellement possible de 12 mois après évaluation, selon la disponibilité des budgets. Pour bénéficier de ce financement, le ou la candidat.e devra s’inscrire à trois programmes courts de l’UQTR visant à formaliser l’encadrement (1 programme de 9 crédits par session, 27 crédits par an). Il est à noter qu’une bourse supplémentaire est offerte afin de couvrir les frais d’inscriptions à ces programmes.

Conditions d’admissibilités :

• Détenir un doctorat en philosophie ou dans une discipline connexe en sciences humaines et sociales. Le doctorat doit avoir été obtenu après le 1^er septembre 2017 et avant la date de début du stage.
• Poursuivre un projet de recherche doctorale s’inscrivant dans l’un des 3 axes de recherche de la Chaire : (1) sexisme structurel et approches critiques de la vulnérabilité (2) racisme, colonialisme et justice réparatrice ; (3) capacitisme, sanisme, spécisme et transformations structurelles.
• S’engager à faire une demande d’admission au programme de recherches postdoctorales, à l’UQTR, sous la supervision de la professeure Naïma Hamrouni. Le ou la candidat.e pourra, idéalement, travailler sous une co-direction avec l’une des autres membres de l’équipe du Thème phare «Éthique féministe» du CRÉ. La codirectrice sera nommée selon l’arrimage entre le projet de recherche proposé et l’expertise des membres du CRÉ.

La Chaire et le CRÉ offriront conjointement à la candidate ou au candidat sélectionné.e :

• Une bourse de 43 000 $ par année (4 versements);
• Un poste de travail individuel (sujet aux restrictions sanitaires en cours);
• L’accès aux infrastructures de l’UQTR (bibliothèque, logiciels informatiques, bases de données, ressources informatiques, bureau en partage, par exemple);
• De l’assistance pour l’organisation matérielle du séjour.

En retour, le.a stagiaire s’engage à :

• Mener un projet de recherche conforme à celui soumis lors de sa candidature;
• Participer à l’organisation du cycle de conférences automnales de la Chaire 2022 et aux activités organisées par la Chaire et par le thème phare « Éthique féministe » du CRÉ (ateliers de rédaction, séminaires des boursières/ers, colloques, groupes de lecture et de présentation des travaux en cours, etc.);
• Effectuer au moins une présentation de ses travaux en cours dans le cadre des activités de la Chaire et du CRÉ;
• Tenir son profil à jour sur le site internet de la Chaire et du CRÉ, et informer les personnes responsables de la coordination de toutes les activités de recherche méritant d’être diffusées;
• Remettre un rapport d’activités à la fin de chaque année financière pendant le séjour.

Les dossiers seront évalués selon :

• La nature et qualité du projet de recherche;
• La pertinence à poursuivre un tel projet de recherche à la Chaire et au CRÉ;
• La qualité des travaux de recherche passés.

CREF/CRÉ 2022-23 Postdoctoral Scholarship Program

The Canada Research Chair in Feminist Ethics on Structural Injustices (CREF) at UQTR is pleased to launch, in collaboration with the Flagship Theme Feminist Ethics of the Centre for Research in Ethics (CRÉ), its first postdoctoral program!

The fellowship for the academic year 2022-2021 (12 months) is supported by a bursary program of $43,000 per year, with a possible renewal of 12 months after evaluation, depending on budget availability. To be eligible for this funding, candidates must be primarily affiliated with the UQTR, and enroll in three short programs at the UQTR, aimed at formalizing the supervision offered by the professor (9 credits per session, 27 credits per year. Admission fees can be covered by another scholarship).

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Hold a PhD in philosophy or in a related discipline in the humanities or social sciences. Applicants must have completed their PhD after September 1, 2017, and prior to the start date of the internship;
2. Pursue a postdoctoral research project that falls within one of the Chair’s three research axes: (1) structural sexism and heterosexism, (2) racism, colonialism and restorative justice; (3) ableism, sanism, speciesism and structural transformations;
3. Commit to applying for admission to the postdoctoral research program at UQTR, under the supervision of Professor Naïma Hamrouni. Candidates may, ideally, work under the co-direction of one of the other members of the CRÉ’s Feminist Ethics Theme team. The fit between the proposed research project and the expertise of the CRÉ members will determine the appointment of co-directors.

The Chair and the CRÉ will jointly offer selected candidates:

1. A scholarship of $43,000 per year*;
2. An individual workstation (in accordance with current health restrictions);
3. Access to UQTR infrastructures (e.g., library, computer software, databases, computer resources, shared office);
4. Assistance with the material organization of the stay.

In return, candidates must:

1. Conduct a research project consistent with the one submitted in the application;
2. Participate in the organization of the Fall 2022 conference cycle of the Chair and in the activities organized both by the Chair and the CRÉ’s Feminist Ethics theme (such as writing workshops, fellows’ seminars, conferences, reading group);
3. Make at least one presentation of their work in progress within the activities of the Chair and the CRÉ;
4. Keep their profile updated on the Chair’s and CRÉ’s websites, and inform those responsible for coordination of all research activities that deserve to be publicized;
5. Submit an activity report at the end of each fiscal year during the stay.

Applications will be evaluated based on:

1. The nature and quality of the research project;
2. The relevance of pursuing such a research project at the Chair and the CRÉ;
3. The quality of past work.
