New Collaborations Between CRÉ and the Social Justice Centre
The CRÉ is pleased to highlight the recent development of its collaborations with Concordia University’s Social Justice Centre (SJC). These joint initiatives reflect a shared commitment to supporting rigorous, engaged, and open research on contemporary issues of social justice.
Over the past few months, the CRÉ and the SJC have co‑organized several activities, and recordings of many of these events are now available on the SJC’s YouTube page as well as on Radio‑CRÉ’s.
You will find:
The recording of the book launch Little Red Barns: Hiding the Truth, from Farm to Fable, by Will Potter.
The third and fifth sessions in the series of civic education workshops on animal law organized by Droit animalier Québec (DAQ):
- Les animaux d’élevage et les pratiques courantes, with Jean-Jacques Kona Boun and Christiane Bailey.
- Aider les êtres animaux: Actions directes, enquêtes et sauvetages, by Christiane Bailey.
The presentations given as part of the series Contemporary Feminist Movements Across Geographies:

These partnerships underscore our mutual commitment to creating interdisciplinary and accessible spaces for reflection, where normative questions meet social and political practices. The CRÉ looks forward to continuing this work with the SJC and to contributing, together, to the advancement of research attentive to contemporary realities. Several additional collaborations are already in preparation!
