In early October, Ryoa Chung (Université de Montréal, CRÉ) joined Matthieu Dugal for the eighth season of the podcast Moteur de recherche to discuss the difference between belief and scientific knowledge in the current context of ideological polarization.
In response to a question from a listener, Ryoa discussed the work of Karl Popper, Harvard science historian Naomi Oreskes, Canadian researcher and evangelical Christian Katharine Hayhoe (co-director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University), psychologist Jonathan Haidt, and Canadian philosopher Maya Goldenberg, author of Vaccine Hesitancy: Public Trust, Expertise, and the War on Science (2021).
