Biography

Morgane is an Associate Researcher in the CRÉ’s Ethics and Economics axis. She is undertaking a postdoctoral research fellowship (funded by the FRQ) from Fall 2025 to Fall 2027 at ESG-UQAM under the supervision of Dominic Martin, at IDEA (Université Laval) under the supervision of Patrick Turmel, and at the CRÉ. Her research project is entitled “Ethics of Financial Literacy.”

A graduate of Sciences Po Paris (Political Science / Law-Economics) and the EHESS (Philosophy), she completed a PhD in economic ethics at the Université de Montréal in 2025. Her dissertation, supervised by Peter Dietsch (in a cotutelle with Nantes Université under the supervision of Arnauld Leclerc), is entitled: “Money and the Eurozone through the Lens of Rawlsian Contractualism.”

Since her time at the CRÉ as a funded student, Morgane has co-organized a bi-monthly reading group in economic ethics with Gabriel Monette (HEC-Montréal) and Nicolas Pinsonneault (HEC-Montréal).

Her research interests include: economic philosophy, normative ethics, money, banking, finance, central banks, egalitarianism, liberalism, contractualism, markets, capitalism, social justice, climate justice, epistemic justice, expertise, and democracy.
