Elle interviendra également à l’occasion d’une table ronde intitulée “Who are you? Defining individuals & Collecitves”, dans le cadre du 2020 Celebration of Excellence & Engagement de la Royal Society of Canada le 24 novembre, à 16h45: The recent popularity of Ancestry.ca and similar genetic background search organizations along with growing interest in one’s ‘roots’/families of origin raises questions about the centrality of genes to personal and collective identities and the complex intertwining of social, biological and cultural dimensions of human identities and categories. This session explores these issues past and present, highlighting what might emerge in coming years.
