Biography

Radheesh Ameresekere is pursuing his Ph.D. at McGill University (2024-29) under the supervision of Daniel Weinstock, Iwao Hirose, & Kristin Voigt. He is also a Fellow-in-Residence with the Research Group on Constitutional Studies at the Yan P. Lin Center, and starting Fall 2026, he will be a Lecturer in the Philosophy of Law. His research sits at the intersection of legal, political, and economic philosophy, and he is currently working on a project about the legitimacy of international law with the support of a SSHRC CGRS. His work has been published in venues such as Harvard International Law Journal; he is also interested in how these questions pertain to healthcare, and has published in venues such as Health Affairs Forefront. He also holds an S.M. from Harvard University, for which he wrote on health law, and a B.A. from the University of Toronto.
