Biography

Mattéo is a doctoral student in political philosophy, jointly supervised by Juliette Roussin (Laval University) and Magali Bessone (University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). His dissertation focuses on the link between political equality and representation in contemporary democracies by studying the normative issues raised by the practice of redistricting.

He holds a master’s degree in political philosophy from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and has previously worked on the epistemic justifications of democracy. His main areas of interest are contemporary theories of democracy, political egalitarianism, and the link between political philosophy and social sciences.
