Biography

Marion Brivot is a Full Professor of Accounting at the Faculty of Business Administration, Université Laval. Before joining Université Laval, she taught at Concordia University in Montreal. She holds a PhD in Management Sciences from HEC Paris, an MBA from Duquesne University (United States), and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Université Laval.

Her research explores the ethical and social dimensions of accounting, with a particular focus on the relationship between ethics and quantification, and on whistleblowing practices among professionals in accounting, auditing, taxation, and management control. She is also interested in the moral dilemmas accountants face in their daily work, regardless of their industry or institutional setting.

She previously served as Head of the Public, Organizational and Professional Ethics division at the Institut d’éthique appliquée (IDEA), Université Laval. She is currently an Associate Editor of the international journal Accounting, Organizations and Society (AOS) and a member of the editorial board of Éthique publique.
