Biography
Marianne Saillant is a Master’s student in philosophy at the Université de Montréal, supervised by Ryoa Chung (UdeM). She holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and political science from the same institution, earned with distinction. Her thesis, to be completed in fall 2026, examines the conciliation of transgender narratives with Luce Irigaray’s theory of sexual difference.
Her primary research areas are continental feminist philosophy and critical philosophy, with particular interests in gendered experience, the relationship between identity and sexuality, and the ethics of sexuality.
