Biography

Since 2024, Léonore Deleuze has been a doctoral candidate in philosophy at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is writing a dissertation under the supervision of Magali Bessone (ISJPS)—provisionally titled “Un dispositif d’enquête constitutif de sujets politiques : la figure ambivalente de l’enfant-suspect”—in which she examines the political status of the child. Her research focuses on the case of unaccompanied minors—particularly foreign minors—who appear simultaneously as the paradigm of a vulnerable subject and as potential fraudsters, thereby representing a latent political issue. Her work analyzes how age is transformed into an object of inquiry, drawing on a combination of medical, psychological, and legal expertise to shape public policies for the care of unaccompanied minors.

Her research interests include political philosophy, critical epistemology, children’s rights, and unaccompanied foreign minors.
