Biography

Julien Ouellet is a doctoral student in practical philosophy at the Université de Sherbrooke, under the supervision of François Claveau (UdeS). After completing a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in philosophy at Université Laval, where they focused on analytic philosophy and contemporary debates on free will, they pursued a career in software development and college-level philosophy teaching before returning to doctoral studies. Their research interests draw them toward philosophical dialogue facilitation in various organizational contexts, as well as the norms and virtues associated with this practice. Their thesis explores the role that philosophical dialogue can play in addressing socio-cognitive integration challenges in interdisciplinary research teams.
