Biography
Ellena Thibaud-Latour is a PhD candidate in philosophy under the supervision of Aude Bandini (UdeM) and co-supervision of Maeve McKeown (RUG). Her research lies at the intersection of social epistemology, ethics, and political philosophy. Her thesis develops an epistemology of indifference: an integrative approach that examines its epistemic, affective, and social dimensions and conceives of it as an institutionalized epistemic vice. With this framework, she seeks to offer a new perspective on problems of collective inaction, particularly among privileged groups. Her research is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
Research areas: Social epistemology, feminist philosophy, political philosophy.
