Biography

Dobi Parfait Maré is a doctoral student in political philosophy at Université Laval under the supervision of Juliette Roussin (ULaval). His research focuses on the issue of security and freedom in contemporary liberal democracies confronted with the phenomenon of terrorism. His research takes an applied ethical approach, focusing on the quest for security in states, particularly mass surveillance and privacy.

Finally, his doctoral research is a continuation of his academic career in philosophy, which led him to obtain a bachelor’s degree and successfully complete a master’s degree in the ethics of development, a pursuit that aimed to highlight the challenge of humanism in the face of materialism.
