Biography
Aida Rezaei is a doctoral student in philosophy at the University of Montreal, under the supervision of Jonathan Simon (UdeM) and Maxime Doyon. Her areas of research include philosophy of mind, normativity, and phenomenology. Her doctoral project, Exemplifying Agency, Normativity, and Choice in Theatrical Performance, examines how theatrical performance exemplifies agency and reveals the normative structures that make actions intelligible. The project develops psychological and metaphysical models of agency in a performative context and analyzes how embodied practices in theatre shed light on broader questions in the theory of action and the philosophy of mind.
