Biography
France Lacharité graduated with a Master’s degree in Contemporary Religious Studies from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2021, and is currently pursuing her doctoral studies under the supervision of professors Bertrand Lavoie, Marc Dumas and Louise La Fontaine. Her thesis focuses on pediatric end-of-life care and medical assistance in dying for minors. With an anthropological approach to her research, she is interested in questions of meaning, ethics and the humanity of end-of-life care. For her doctoral studies, she was awarded an $83,333 grant (2023-2027) from the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC). She is a research assistant for research on complex ethical issues in pediatrics.
