Ryoa Chung will deliver the opening address at the CSE Plenary Assembly

Ryoa Chung, tenured professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Montreal (UdeM) and co-director of the CRÉ, will deliver the opening address at the Plenary Assembly of the Conseil supérieur de l’éducation in Quebec City on April 9, 2026.

During this opening lecture, Ryoa will discuss the most significant ethical issues facing research and higher education in Quebec. She will address the concept of “polycrisis,” which describes the current international and local context, characterized by climate change, the threat of health crises, polarization, political tensions, and the potential erosion of certain democracies.
