Biography
Theorist and practitioner, Xavier Gravend-Tirole works in spiritual studies. Inspired by field philosophy, autoethnography and social criticism, his work sometimes crosses the boundaries of theology, and often those of philosophy and the history of ideas. Marked by contemporary ethical issues, they examine spiritual questions in the light of the multiple challenges facing the world today: ecological crisis, ecospirituality, the quest for meaning and well-being, identity politics, criticism of modernity and its avatars, theorization and epistemology of the spiritual, etc.
