Postdoctoral Fellowship: Laboratoire d’éthique vivante en réadaptation (LÉViER)
Undertake a post-doctoral fellowship related to rehabilitation and ethics!
Professors Anne Hudon (Université de Montréal) and Matthew Hunt (McGill University), former postdoctoral researchers at the CRÉ, as well as Eric Racine (IRCM, UdeM, CRÉ) are recruiting a post-doctoral researcher to undertake a fellowship at the Laboratoire d’Éthique Vivante En Réadaptation (labolevier.com), which is located at the Gingras-Lindsay Rehabilitation Institute of Montreal (IRGLM).
We are seeking a person who…
- Has experience or has demonstrated sustained interest in the field of ethics;
- Has expertise in qualitative research, ideally including experience related to participatory approaches, living laboratories and/or arts-based methods;
- Has excellent writing abilities and is fully bilingual (French and English, both written and oral communication);
- Is highly motivated and able to work independently, as well as being collaborative and collegial; and
- Holds a PhD in a related discipline (e.g. anthropology, bioethics, sociology, health sciences, philosophy, rehabilitation sciences).

You will join a large and dynamic research team including patient partners, researchers, students, clinicians and managers who are seeking to catalyze a “living ethics” organizational culture at the l’IRGLM, which is part of the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Ile-de-Montréal.
You will contribute to two main areas of inquiry: 1) rehabilitation ethics research related to core facets of the LEViER’s program of research (e.g. data collection and analysis within several ongoing participatory research projects, supporting artsbased ethics activities, mentoring graduate students), and 2) empirical and theoretical research related to ethical considerations associated with living lab approaches.
Funds are available to support the selected post-doctoral fellow, and they will also be expected to apply to relevant provincial and federal funding agencies.
