Dans le cadre des conférences féministes, le CRÉ et le Equity and Climate Committee of the Department of Philosophy de McGill University sont heureux d’accueillir Cheshire Calhoun (Arizona State), qui offrira une présentation intitulée « The Varied Underrepresentations of Women in Philosophy ».

Résumé:

We tend to talk about the underrepresentation of women as though there were just one thing. But women are underrepresentated in a variety of ways—in the major, on faculty, in journal submissions, in the stereotype for philosopher, in anthologies, on syllabi. And the extent to which women are underrepresented (or not) depends on what we’re talking about. In thinking about how one might address the underrepresentation of women, it’s thus useful to keep this multiplicity in mind.
