Concours de séjour 2015-2016 comme chercheur invité au CRÉ

Le Centre de recherche en éthique (CRÉ) est heureux d’annoncer son programme de séjour pour chercheurs invités pour la période du 1er juin 2015 au 31 mai 2016. La durée du stage pourra varier en fonction du dossier soumis et de la nature de la recherche.

The Centre de recherche en éthique (CRÉ) invites applications for its visiting research fellow programme for the period of June 1st 2015 to May 31st 2016. The length of the stay can vary depending on the dossier and the kind of research envisaged.

La mission du CRÉ est de contribuer à la recherche en éthique et à la qualité de la formation dans les domaines de l’éthique fondamentale et appliquée.

Nous encourageons les candidatures qui proviennent de chercheurs oeuvrant dans les axes de recherche principaux du CRÉ: éthique et économie, éthique et environnement, éthique et politique, éthique et santé, éthique fondamentale. Nous recevons également les candidatures provenant de disciplines diverses, pourvu que leur sujet de recherche soit en rapport direct avec des problématiques éthiques.

La bourse octroyée aux chercheurs invités varie selon la longueur du séjour et selon les circonstances (p.ex. contribution aux frais de séjour). Les candidats auront accès à un bureau ainsi qu’aux infrastructures de l’Université de Montréal (bibliothèques, centre sportif, etc.) et obtiendront de l’assistance pour l’organisation matérielle du séjour.

En retour, le chercheur s’engage à mener un projet de recherche conforme à celui soumis lors de sa candidature, à participer aux activités organisées par le Centre (conférences, séminaires et colloques) et à effectuer une présentation de ses travaux en cours dans le cadre de séminaires ou d’ateliers organisés par le Centre.

Le CRÉ est une institution bilingue. Les candidats doivent avoir une maîtrise du français et de l’anglais leur permettant de participer aux activités du Centre.

Les dossiers seront évalués selon les critères suivants : la nature et la qualité du projet de recherche, ainsi que sa pertinence dans le cadre de la mission du CRÉ ; la qualité des recherches précédentes ; et la capacité du candidat de bénéficier des activités du Centre.

Les candidats doivent soumettre les documents suivants :

  • Ce formulaire;
  • Un curriculum vitae;
  • Énoncé du projet (1500 mots ou moins);
  • Un texte publié au courant des trois dernières années;
  • Deux lettres de recommandation (envoyées directement au CRÉ avant la date limite du concours).

La date limite pour la réception des candidatures est le 15 janvier 2015.

The mission of the CRÉ is to contribute to research in ethics and to the quality of graduate training in all fields of ethics from meta-ethics to applied questions.

We encourage applications from researchers working on themes related to the research axes of the CRÉ: ethics and economics, ethics and the environment, ethics and health, ethics and politics, meta-ethics. We also admit applications from other disciplines, provided their research is directly linked to questions in ethics.

The fellowship for visiting research fellows varies with the length of the stay and with the circumstances (e.g. salary loss during the stay). The selected candidates will have access to an office as well as to the infrastructure of the Université de Montréal (libraries, gym, etc.). CRÉ staff will assist them in planning their stay.

In return, the visiting research fellows will conduct their research project as submitted, participate in the academic activities of the centre (conferences, workshops & seminars), and present their work in progress at the centre.

The CRÉ is a bilingual institution. Candidates must have sufficient knowledge of the French and English language to be able to participate in the activities of the centre.

Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria: the nature and quality of the research project and its relevance to the mission of the CRÉ; the quality of previous research by the applicant; potential benefits to the applicant from a stay at the centre.

  • This form;
  • A Curriculum Vitae;
  • An outline of your research project description (1500 words or less);
  • An article published during the last three years;
  • Two letters of reference (sent directly to CRÉ before the deadline).

The deadline for applications is January 15th 2015.
