In addition, Robeyns has taught several interdisciplinary courses related to human development and the capability approach. She is supervising PhD-students in those areas as well as in methodology in ethics and in human rights theory.

Her research focusses on theories of justice, economic ethics, and a cluster of normative questions related to demography, gender, the family, economic institutions and sustainability. In 2014, she wrote an interdisciplinary monograph on the capability approach (forthcoming with Open Book Publishers), and edited an introductory ethics book (in Dutch) together with Martin van Hees and Thomas Nys (forthcoming 2014 with Uitgeverij Boom).
